Since the opening of the Apple One office in Cebu just one year ago, the team, which consisted of only two staff members, has grown to nearly 30 full-time employees. The office and its personnel provide business process offerings to Present Group in Australia in the form of IT support, Finance, Recruitment, Operations Support and Technical Writing.
The Cebu team have also witnessed the destruction caused by two major natural disasters in the last year with a 7.2 magnitude earthquake hitting the region in October 2013, closely followed by super-typhoon, Haiyan, one month later. The Cebu team showed commendable spirit. Having been spared from the disasters, they stepped forward, raising money and arranging assistance for those who lost everything. The team spent time traveling to remote islands providing relief, supplies and offering support. As a result of the natural disaster, Present Group also expanded the school feeding program, R.I.S.E, to include 30 additional children, who were relocated to Cebu after their houses and school were destroyed.
