Engineering Support Working from Home

It’s business as usual for the Powertech Engineering team! Fortunately our team of Electrical Engineers are able to continue delivering their high level of service from their own homes.
All of their solutions are developed using the latest power system analysis software to accurately model clients’ electrical networks and perform electrical studies, which can then be accessed by the client remotely via software log in or via our own platforms. The team use DIgSILENT PowerFactory, ETAP, PSS/E, PSCAD and SKM PTW.
Load flow calculations are used to analyse the power system under steady-state non-faulted conditions and provide useful information like bus voltages, feeder voltage profiles, active and reactive power flows, equipment loading and system losses.
Short-circuit calculations are generally used to determine the maximum and minimum short-circuit currents under different fault scenarios throughout the power system.
