Do you have a project which involves a Hazardous Area (HA) or a High Voltage (HV) Asset?
Is this a new installation or a design change to an existing plant or asset?
In Queensland, the Electrical Safety Regulation 2013 (Section 221) requires that an accredited HA or HV Auditor inspects electrical installations prior to connection or reconnection to a source of electrical supply if the installation is being connected for the first time, or electrical installation work has been performed on an electrical High Voltage or Hazardous Area installation.
The pre-commissioning inspection, by an accredited Auditor, ensures that the installation, related electrical equipment and protective equipment, have correct certification and comply with certification documentation and appropriate standards.
To be a Queensland accredited Auditor, you must be able to demonstrate an understanding of the Queensland Electrical Safety Act, relevant standards, along with best industry practices. An accredited Auditor must understand the suitability of the selected electrical equipment being used and the specific installation requirements.
